Jean talks to Susan Strayer, a career coach and author of The Right Job, Right Now, who says that while most people work for the sake of working, it doesn't have to be that way. Some people are lucky enough to find a great job right away, but that isn't the case for most of us, Susan says. Patience is key. 有些人很幸运，能够立刻找到完美的工作；但是，大多数人都不是这样。耐心是关键。
Start by making a list of all the things you have to offer, including the skills that you have and the way you differentiate yourself from other people who have those same skills. 把你的'能力列个表。包括你的技能，以及你同和你有同样技能的人不同的地方。
Evaluate your needs. How much does money matter to you? A good boss? Your own office? 评估你的需求。钱、好的老板、自己的办公室这些对你来说有多重要？

Susan says it's important to use the Internet wisely. It should be a tool, but don't let it drive your search. Networking and interaction with other professionals is just as important. If you don't think you have a network, look around you—everyone you know is a connection and you never know who might boost your job search, Susan says. 明智地使用互联网。互联网应该是一个工具，而不要让它来主导你找工作。和其它职业者的人际关系及交流也同样重要。如果你认为自己没有关系；看看周围——你认识的每个人都是一个关系；说不定谁就能帮上大忙。

Create what Susan calls an "inventory of stories" that you can rely on during an interview. Think of times you've taken important roles, projects you've completed and praise you've received from clients. 准备面试时的“故事集”。想出自己曾担任过的重要角色；完成的工作；以及从顾客那里获得的赞扬。
