美国人GMAT阅读方法
对于阅读速度向来不快的童鞋，GMAT要在30分钟内读完4篇文章大约160行之多还要回答若干BT问题简直要了小命。那么老美们是怎么轻轻松松搞定那些BT问题的呢?跟yjbys小编一起来学习一下吧！
阅读步骤一(step one)
Read for the main idea.
1)Always read the first sentence of a paragraph carefully, It’s the key to understand entire paragraph.
When you’ve identified the main idea, it’s a good idea to jot down a couple of key words to encapsulate it.
2)Once you know what the paragraph is about, it isn’t necessary to pay a lot of attention to the other sentences in the paragraph
3)Think of this as variable speed reading understand the main idea, speed up, as to details, who cares?
阅读步骤二(step two)
As you read, look for structural signposts
1) Trigger words(“however”,” but”) aways signal a change in the direction of a passage
Trigger words 总结：
but
nonetheless
although(even though)
however
yet
despite(in spite of)
nevertheless
notwithstanding
except
while
unless
on the other hand
2) Continuing-the-same-train-of-thought words 同样含义的连接词 (could be a sentences of fragments)
First of all… a second…third
In addition
By the same token
Likewise
Similarly
This(implies a reference to preceding sectence)
Thus(implies a conclusion)
3)Yin-Yang words(阴阳词)
Whenever you spot a “阴”word，you should realize that there is a “阳”word on the way. Such as:
阅读步骤三(step three)
Attack the questions
Grasped the main idea, and attack the question aggressively
1)General Questions “what is the primary purpose of the passage?”
“what is the author’s tone”
”which of the following best describes the structure of the passage”
All above is GQ(you should be able to solve GQ without going back to the passage)
读到这里我有许多感想，也许这里我要说的会遭到许多小安阅读法追随者的炮轰，but 阅读真的那么麻烦么?如果按照以前，我们的题目会被划分的细之又细：细节题，主旨题，结构题，态度题，信息题…这种脑子完全适合读私塾了;相反，老外的方法却很简单，除了上述GQ也就是不用回头看文章也能由于关键词推出答案的题目，就剩下需要回头看的复杂题了。如果这么训练自己阅读几篇文章，就会发现，阅读时最大的.心里负担已经不见了，心态轻松，阅读起来也愉快有效率。可能话语有些偏激，但是读完了再试试看，真的是---谁用谁闪亮呦~~
回过来接着分析文章：
总之，对于General Question 这类问题---always try to answer a GQ in your own words before you look at the answer choice
2) using POE to eliminate wrong answer 就是我们通常说的排除法
It is always easier to eliminate incorrect answers than to select the correct answers.
其中要注意，一定首先把题中在原文没有见到的选项先划掉，以除后患。
2)对于GQ以外的Specific Question(本人认为可以理解为小安阅读发里的细节题，态度题，信息题。。。总之扫过文章后一眼看不出来答案的题目都属于SQ)
例如“the passage suggest…”
“according to the passage”
这样的题中如果有”… in line 12”则难度系数无限降低, all you have to do is go back to the cited line, and read them start a little above them.
如果没有这种Line references, 也并非难题，找到Lead words 同样score!这里，老外书中写的非常质朴滑稽，大概就是：让你用手指头捋着屏幕往下读,直到找到lead words 或者也可能是 lead phrase.
本书还介绍了一些排除法的事宜，太多了，读者可以自己找一本相关的书，仔细阅读排除法的部分。
再次提示，对于排除法的技巧，要明白GMAC答案的路子，即
GMAC want their correct answer to beindisputable so that no one will ever be able to complain.
比如关系到女权，美国黑人，或者土著文化。。。作者的态度不可能时偏激和反对的，换句话说, if you see strong word, eliminate!!!
最后排除法的小结，answer cannot be(A)disrespectful to professionals
(B) too strong 也不可能是 (C) condone prejudicial attitudes.
