　　【Abstract】 AIM: To detect the role and the significance of MMP9 in microangiogenesis in skin squamous cell carcinoma (SCC) and to observe the relation between the expression of MMP9 and microvessel density (MVD) in SCC. METHODS： Immunohistochemical SP staining was used to examine MMP9 expression and the change of MVD under light microscope in 45 cases of SCC, 19 cases of Bowen disease, and 10 cases of normal skin.
