When I saw the titile of this essay I am supposed to be writing about, all I felt were its broadness and abstractness. Though I am a Chinese myself, it had always seemed complicated to tell how much exactly my nationality meant to me until that unforgettable experience in the Chinese Embassy at the U.K, which made a significant difference to my life. Only when I was abroad did I realize how proud I always was for my great country and clarify the relationship between China and me, referring it to that between a mother and a child desperate for help.
It was in the London Heathrow International Airport that our passports and airplane tickets were stolen a few minutes before the plane took off. Despaired and tired as we were, we wandered on the flourishing streets of London and felt isolated from all the nearby lighthearted laughters. It didn't take a long time for the lingering homesickness hit us and reminded us of the Chinese Embassy at the U.K that might be our sheet anchor. Ages passed while we walked to the embassy, suffering from hunger and helplessness with every step we took. Sure enough, our eyes were unconsciously filled with tears when we finally reached the spot. I was taken by surprise when the brightly-colored Chinese national flag broke through the darkness and appeared once again in front of my eyes, recalling all the pleasure I had at home. It suddenly felt as if I was taken home, a home where all my fear and anxiety vanished and replaced by the hope and warmth that ran all over my body to cheer me up. The ambassadors were all amiable Chinese officers and the familiar Chinese accent drew me closer to my motherland where we received the only help. The ambassadors made us noodles in the familiar Chinese way and settled the accommodation for us. I had tears running down my cheeks when the hot noodles, smelled as pleasant as my mother's at home, filled my stiff empty stomach because I knew I was safe in the arms of my compatriots and there was no need to be worried anymore for I knew I was home.
We successfully returned to Beijing the next day and I still couldn't forget the moment when I felt so much closer to my motherland than any other time given, as though our hearts were beating in one melody. Had my motherland not saved the day, we would never came back home so quickly without any restriction. For that one brief second when I was handed the brand new passport with a Chinese flag printed on it, my heart was overflowed with the pride for my own nation because never has a country I known connected to its people so close as the way my motherland and us related. I was like a child, crying and desperate for help while my mother China is the harbor to hold me, this small vulnerable boat. Even though I was out of home, my motherland remained inseparated from me no matter how far I go and is always there to help me back on track whenever in need. I wish you a happy birthday, China. I am so proud of you not only because of your obvious amazing pace in economical development, but also due to the relieved and warm way I felt when I was abroad and enjoyed your ray of love shone on my body and heart. You are the spirits dancing in my blood, the strength holding up my body and and essence making up my soul. I am so honored as a Chinese, a member of this dynamic and loving country. 三、教材特点
本学期学校采用了新的教材，是译林出版社的牛津小学英语，每学期上完一本。此册书共有10个单元，每个单元分三个部分，分别要求听，认，说。从难度上来说，此教材比去年学校采用的外研社版要简单很多，词汇量少，句型简单，这大大减轻了孩子们学习的压力，同时也减少了家长辅导的难度。教材遵循由浅入深，由易入难的规律，所选内容均是与学生平时日常生活有关，可以密接结合平时的生活经历，切实做到了理论与实践结合，让孩子在现实生活中也能有机会锻炼英语口语。
四、良好学习习惯的培养
重视孩子朗读作业的完成。英语学习的初级阶段，一般书写作业较少，大多是一些朗读的`作业。朗读作业同样非常重要，完成时一定要让孩子大声的朗读给您听，哪怕您没时间，边做家务边听，也要让孩子读给您听，老师要求读几遍，就必须完成几遍，当然，这个几遍只是一般意义上的，()也就是老师感觉读这几遍孩子能记住，能记牢。如果您的孩子不能完全掌握，还可以多读几遍，以孩子能记准记牢为标准。读完后家长签字，要具体签上读了几遍，是否读熟。
五、树立家校通力合作，教育才能达到最佳效果的观念
要树立正确的教育观念。现代社会，在小学阶段对孩子影响最大的还是来自学校和家庭。同样的学校同样的老师，学生的发展却有极大的不同，有的学习优秀，能考上理想的重点中学，而有的却差强人意，甚至举步维艰，为什么呢？除了孩子个体的原因，家庭教育的不同是造成差异的主要原因。父母生下孩子，花了大量的时间精力养育他，您的态度、习惯决定了您孩子的态度和习惯。
六、注重鼓励评价，促进学生的和谐发展。

He ran up the steps. Then in a little while Paul heard him coming back, but he was not coming fast. He was carrying his little crippled brother. He sat him down on the bottom step, then sort of squeezed up against him and pointed to the car.

In order to have more fuel people cut down trees and dig more corals. But the growing needs for energy are hardly to meet. Countless private cars on the street the gas stations are short of gasoline even the government has raise the price so many times in order to control the needs of gasoline but it’s still not working. Overusing the natural resources has already affected the ecological balance. However the factories still release the toxic air into the sky and the polluted water into the rivers. People still lack of the conscious of protecting the environment. I think it’s time for all of us to do something.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.

大家好！我是XXX的妈妈。我们家XXX是XX小学四年级的一名学生，在新时代已经学了两个学期了，而且很荣幸，都是在赵老师班上。在这里，首先非常感谢赵老师给予我这么好的一个机会，让我与大家在一起探讨教育孩子的问题。也非常感谢老师对XXX的精心培养。孩子在校的一点一滴进步都渗透着老师辛勤的汗水。在此，请允许我代表在座的家长们，对辛勤工作的老师们说声：“谢谢您们，您们辛苦了。”
其实，说起家庭教育经验，与各位在座的家长相比，我做得还不够。俗话说：“父母是孩子的'第一位老师”，孩子的许多好品质、好习惯都需要在家里由家长正确引导和督促。
下面，我就简单介绍一下自己的做法：
一、树立学习英语的信心
俗话说，自信是成功的第一步。自信心对于孩子的英语学习尤为重要，因为小学生的英语侧重于听说，说占有很大的比例。平时的跟读、回答问题、唱歌、游戏、对话、表演都要用到“说”。假如孩子一开始便没了自信心，怕出错误，不敢开口说，那么他的英语就无从得到练习，也便不会有进步，而且会越学越没劲。所以树立良好的自信，说英语，用英语，不怕犯错误，是学好英语的第一步。在学习过程中，要对孩子多一些表扬和鼓励，只要孩子有点滴进步，都要及时表扬，让她有成就感，家长如果经常表扬鼓励孩子，孩子一定会有出色的表现。
二、让孩子多听录音，在少儿英语学习中，我认为首先是加强听力训练和说话训练，然后才是读写能力的培养。听说能力差，用英语进行交际的能力也会差，为此，作为家长一定要配合学校来要求孩子，要创造条件让孩子多听，多听纯正的录音，听几遍、听清楚了以后，跟着说。
三、让孩子大声说英语，我每天都坚持留出20分钟左右时间让孩子读读英语，不管当天学校布置的作业多不多。我们要鼓励孩子大声地朗读、对话、问答，大声说，不害羞，这样有利于清楚地表达自己，也有利于他人纠正自己的错误。
四、每天自觉地听录音、朗读、背诵、记忆，孩子放学后完成的作业，我都会检查督促。听写、默写、抄写的作业，复习、预习作业也不容草率。每一项作业我都会认真检查，并签字。复习是巩固知识，预习对于下一次老师要讲的内容心里有了大概的眉目，能起到抓到重点的作用，提高学习效率。
五、家长要经常积极主动的和老师沟通，通过和老师的沟通既可以及时了解自己孩子在学校的学习情况，能够有针对性地要求孩子巩固学得不够扎实的知识，也可以了解孩子在学校的行为习惯方面的情况。毕竟我们在家里看到的孩子只在在家里的一面，在学校的表现我们是看得不全面的。
XXX英语学校的教学形式新颖活泼，一些赏识教学，情景教学让孩子们都很喜欢，也让我们做家长的耳目一新。在这里，我看到孩子变得更加自信、活泼，英语学习兴趣也越来越浓厚，学习积极性也越来越高。
总的来说，孩子是每个家庭的重心和希望，有一位家长说过：“要把培养孩子当作自己的事业来做。”只要你多投入一点，相信你的孩子会给予你更多的回报！以上观点是我个人的一点体会，说的不到之处还请大家批评指正，最后祝大家元旦快乐！谢谢！

We all want the future to be better than the past. But the future can go better itself. Don’t cry because it is over, smile because it happened. Psychologist tell us that stress is a state of worry caused by the problem of living , such as too much work or study , heavy responsibilities , and quickened pace of life istics show that stress comes from every detail in our life ncial problems , poor health , being laid off may be the stress that most adults now suffering students in the university , we are also under our special stress .
While study , having to take various tests and submit a project against a deadline may put a great pressure on us the things make us felt stressed may be our parents’s greater expectations on us than we could reach r , when we are likely to graduate , some other problems will also annoy us .
I think we will worry a lot about our ability to compete in the job market and how we can best use what we’ve learned at college in our future job chief problem we should face to is our atitude towards stress le usually say they can not live in the sun except they escape from stress ’s unwelcome ! yes , however , very necessary image a world where stress does not exist and people lead their life in a very comfortable way is this kind of living condition as perfect as we hope ?

of cause not principle is to tackle with stress gentlely and should try our best to release ourselves .
Such as to do some exercise , to linsen to traditional chinese music or classical music to ease our minds and to learn to view these changes of life as challenges ’s no use crying over spilt milk to accept what has happened can solve the problem .

with the development of science and technology, change has penetrated into every aspect of our daily life. to illustrate that, i'd like to make a comparison of these two seemingly insignificant things: milkman and mailman, whose differences indicate our changing way of living with the times.
home milk delivery has almost gone extinct in china now, also gone with it are the milkmen, who once delivered bottled fresh milk door-to-door. on the other hand, mailman's business or the courier service has thrived as online shopping gains popularity. however, in retrospect, i find something has been lost in this transition, something shakespeare called as "the milk of human kindness"。
when i was a kid, milk wasn't for sale everywhere. for the families who need it, they depended on the milkmen to take it from the local dairy farms to their houses. in our neighborhood, there was such a milkman, whose arrival was much anticipated by the children and always brought us laughter and joy. he knew the name of every kid and could easily see through our tricks. if we didn't behave, he would side with our parents and threaten to rob us of the nutritious drink. the entire neighborhood was acquainted with him; saw him as a member of the community just like the many residents or street vendors. there was a bond between all of us for it was not only the commodities that been transacted, but also a sense of caring and dependability. and that small box fixed onto our door, other than being a drop-off point for milk; it was a communication junction between the people as we took the initiative to reach out to others.
fast forward to today, milk is ubiquitous with no dedicated delivery system. but the convenience level of our live has gone up a notch. almost everything is for sale online, which spares us all the travelling and talking. with a few ready clicks, shopping is done. the rest is left for those speed delivery companies. usually it's a grumpy mailman, who reaches us throuugh cell phone, urging everyone to pick up their parcels as soon as possible. and the minute the receipt is signed, we rush back to unpack while the courier dashes to the next destination. there is barely a conversation carried out, nor do we feel the need to talk to such a stranger, who changes from time to time frequently. it seems that people are always in a hurry now, though we have more conveniences, still we run short of time to stop and stare, to speak and share.
call me an old-timer, but i think the personal touch represented by the milkman is what has been missing in the modern society. william wordsworth once wrote that "getting and spending, we lay waste our powers." modern technology may have multiplied our possessions or gave us more conveniences, but we run the risk of reducing our values if we lay waste our power of interpersonal relationships.
