做英文简历对于大学生来说难度还真不小，因为这不仅仅只有翻译这个问题，还涉及到英文简历的特殊要求，那么大学生应该怎么做好英文简历?首先必须做到四个不，在简历里坚决执行这些原则以此提升简历的质量。
不要在英文简历里出现意义不大或者和工作岗位、学习、专业等无关的东西，外国人最在乎简洁性所以他们不希望看到复杂的东西，如果一封简历里什么东西都有那么不是显得太复杂了吗?起码具有的`东西要跟应聘相关，否则会严重影响外国人对你的看法，会认为你做事太过于复杂而且做了很多无意义的事情，如此做工作能做得又快又好吗?
不要在简历里加上任何人称代词，不管是第一人称还是第二、三人称，因为这些人称代词没有意义，而且简历是从你的角度说的所以不需要将别人拿出来做证明。同时，少了人称代词不是令简历显得更为简洁吗?因为不用阅读这些无用的词语，而且简历篇幅也因此变短了，阅读的速度也变快了。
不要在个人简历里乱用单词缩写，如果按照惯例某个词语可以采用缩写形式，那你就应该使用缩写因为大家都习惯了，如果你不用缩写反而会令人有些不明白。但是不要自己将一些名称采用缩写形式展现出来，因为别人根本不知道你所写的几个字母代表什么意思。
不要在简历里使用过多的长句，因为阅读长句不仅容易引人疲惫，还需要一定的理解能力才行，因为长句需要将其前后联系起来才能知道整个句子的意思。
