Hotel Clerk Resume

Hotel clerk is a person who performs variety of services. Most of hotel clerks have the same responsibilities. They register arriving guests, assign rooms and check out the guests till their stay. They also keep records of room assignments and information of registration and related to that on computer. Hotel clerks prepare and explain charges and process payments when gusts check out.

They answer about check out time, services, local community and other matter of public interests. Clerks are the person, who is always in the public eye. They also report the problems due to guest's rooms or public facilities and correct it with help of house keeping or maintenance staff. In larger hotels they refer queries about attractions and can direct complicated question to proper manager.

Their attitude and behavior must be great such as courteous and helpful that publics get impressed. In smaller hotels where the employee staff is small, hotel clerks may take on a variety of additional work such as bringing fresh lines to rooms. In smaller places they need to perform the work of book keeper, cashier, advance reservation agent, laundry attendant and telephone switch board operator.
